Normally, upon meeting someone for the first time, it's rare for the person to say, "Hi, my name is Sally and I'm a conservative Republican. How do you do?" Trust me, it's difficult to even learn someone's name during the beginning of a conversation, let alone their political stance. In other words, when you meet someone, whether friendly or rude, chances are, you wouldn't know if they're Democratic, Republican, Conservative, or Liberal, since they probably wouldn't mention it anyways. However, on the internet, different websites feature different forums or areas that allow political discussion. Therefore, in those websites, such as Yahoo! Answers, it's easier to learn someone's political beliefs. Thus, since I've used the internet, I've met many liberals and conservatives. Online, many conservatives have political beliefs that often vary via race. For example, many Black conservatives still care about "Black issues" even though they wish for old traditions to remain. Many White conservatives, on the other hand, lean in favor of 'White privilege,' politics that better benefit Whites rather than non-Whites. It's often derived from the belief Whites are, in America, socially disadvantaged and prone to stereotyping in America. Thus, they base their politics mostly on misinformation, which is bad for the people that truly are socially disadvantaged.
In reality, White people do not suffer from social disadvantage in America. White males have been proven to earn more promotions and receive jobs quicker than females and minority candidates. Whites, as the nation’s largest ethnic group, continue to make up the largest portion of the nation’s elites. The average income for White American males over the age of 25 with earnings was
$54,365 and $40,479 respectively. When White Hispanic males are excluded however, the average income of White males rises significantly to $58,215 and $42,399 respectively. According to American demographics, Whites constitute over 70% of the US population, by far the largest among other ethnic groups. Financially, 8%-10% of Whites live in poverty, whereas 90%-92% are financially stable. Although, for some odd reason, the articles regarding the percentages of White homeowners magically disappeared, Whites have the highest percentage of homeowners. Many Whites do not identify as ‘White’ when describing themselves, and are not likely to identify themselves as an ethnic group. Whites are the ethnic group least likely to experience discrimination based on their race alone. Blacks, compared to Whites however, are relatively disadvantaged in most, if not all facets. Whites hold the social power, which grants them the ability to attribute labels to any minority, no matter how farfetched. Minorities are stereotyped negatively in general, whereas Whites are attributed positive stereotypes or, if not positive, negative stereotypes derived from ethnic minorities, such as, for example, “White people can’t dance.” Blacks are under and overrepresented in the following: economic status, but are over represented in poverty. As a result, Blacks are oftentimes depicted in the media as poor, as opposed to Whites, whom are middle-class or CEOs. Blacks are also overrepresented in crime, but are underrepresented in criminal legitimacy. Though Black males lead in criminal offenses and 3% of the Black population were sent to jail last year, 97% of Blacks were not. Yet, Blacks are nonetheless portrayed as criminals. Far-right racist extremists care only about the crimes committed against Whites, and assume the Blacks are “waging war” with the White race, causing White racists to jump into defense mode to protect their White heritage. Compared to the large, but currently unknown number of White homeowners, only 48% of Blacks are homeowners (as of 2005.) Compared to the 8% of Whites in poverty and the 92% within financial stability, 25% percent of Blacks live in poverty while 75% are financially stable. Upper class Blacks primarily reside in White neighborhoods in the suburbs, thus, ‘scattering’ themselves and blending in with Whites. Blacks in poor neighborhoods however, reside with individuals with a similar income level, education, and racial background. Thus, the higher class Blacks have better access to education, whereas the poor has a lower quality of education. This results in bad test scores and school dropouts, providing more to the stereotype that Blacks are “unintelligent,” while Whites are perceived as “smart.” White power 卐 is a political slogan that can be attributed to White nationalism 卐 and White supremacy 卐. Despite these instances, many Whites politically lean in favour of White privilege, political issues that benefit White people rather than minorities, and support White power, a movement based upon empowering the White race, and embracing White culture.
White nationalism, in my interpretation, is an extreme or radical form of leaning toward White privilege, as, it can be considered “normal” for a White person to support political aspects that lean in favor of White people, but to separate, create and reside in an all-White state that disallows non-Whites for the sole purpose of White privilege is taking it to the extreme. Just as I oppose White privilege, my opinion on White nationalism is no different. As for White supremacy, the belief Whites have the right to rule over all other races; the term that applies to the belief that White people are superior to people of other racial backgrounds, it focuses more on ridiculing Black disadvantages and using them as a tool to “prove” their “inferiority.” Whilst many White nationalists claim to not be racist, many White nationalists, or at least many people that claim to be White nationalists hold White supremacist beliefs.
Even taken from a Stormfront essay written by 'Jost Turner,' White power activists can agree that Whites hold power.
“But the joke's on us, because White Power is exactly what we have today, and what we have had every day that this world has been going mad. It is time we faced some cold, hard facts. Most any Jewish activist will happily point out that Bill Clinton is just about as White as they come, as has been every other president before him. At no time in the history of this country has the vast majority of the Senate or House of Representatives been anything other than lily White. The Supreme Court has always been predominantly White, as are government police agencies such as the FBI. The Federal Bureaucracy is still largely White, and all no-Whites therein have been given their jobs by the White Federal hierarchy. State governments are White, as are most municipal and county governments. The courts on all levels are still predominantly White. A clear majority of the voters in this county are White, and the majority of the tax-payers are White. A majority of corporation CEOs and board members are White, and there are even enough Whites in positions of power throughout the media to counter Jewish influence. Finally, there are more wealthy Whites than Jews or other ethnic groups. All of our enemies would point out that this nothing more nor less than White Power!”
