Legalize The Weed!
Legalize the Weed!
Don't let the uniform and fake camera fool you. She's going to get high!
Firstly, marijuana can be consumed without smoking. Although I have consideration for others, in my personal opinion however, marijuana should not be smoked because it's bad for the lungs, but eating or vaporizing it would be a great method of consumption. Marijuana can be mixed with a number of foods, creating hash-[INSERT FOOD HERE.] Nonetheless, many people typically smoke cigarettes and cigars and usually get cancer, but marijuana does not exactly cause lung cancer quickly as tobacco. Also, cigarettes are not known to cure and relieve pain.
Secondly, marijuana can work better than pain relievers, while simultaneously having less or better yet, no true side effects. After going to the store to purchase some aspirin to cure my pain, I read MANY side-effects and surprisingly, if taken wrongly, I could possibly be trading a mere headache or cramp for stomach bleeding. In fact, if you have pain killers in your medicine cabinet, read the side-effects and discover how horrible they could be if misused. Nonetheless, weed does not do much rather than cause tiredness, which is great for rest after taking for medical purposes, and the great-for-awaking munchies, the extreme need to eat after waking up. From watching the news, truTV, and from reading articles on the internet everyday, it's apparent the most vicious legal drug, alcohol, is VERY dangerous, since drunk drivers kill many people on the road. Marijuana itself hasn't killed anyone. Sure enough, gang members and thugs on the streets may kill one another for it, but that doesn't mean the weed itself killed anyone. Saying weed kills people is equivalent to a gun killing a human being without anyone pulling the trigger, (and that doesn't include an automatic gun or mishandling the weapon such as dropping it, causing it to go off) which is physically impossible.
Thirdly, the legalization of marijuana could better the economy and save the ongoing recession in America. Consider alcohol. It's taxed and makes a huge profit. For instance, considering the number of estimated individuals that purchase marijuana on the street and the number of drug dealers that manufacture marijuana in America and also, for example, in other countries such as Columbia, South America, known indefinitely for it's smuggling attempts of large quality drugs, the government could make a huge profit from taxing the drugs. See, 'criminals' make a large million dollar profit from deal drugs, but the government doesn't get a say in those transactions. Imagine, if so, we'd legally have a truckload of currency. Therefore, if legal, the manufacturers, who are typically poor 'criminals,' could have a well-paying occupation by creating drugs in companies owned by, or either simply taxed by the government. Sometimes, drug manufacturers are known for creating over a million dollars worth of drugs, and imagine, that could create well-over a million tax dollars. The money could then go to poor neighborhoods for improvement, jobs that are currently losing money because of the recession that's laying workers off and even create more jobs, and so forth. Before you know it, if ANY large company began paying regulated taxes no matter the product, the economy would be better, but marijuana, because it's more popular, would do great independently.
Finally, also, marijuana does more good than harm unlike some pain relievers, alcohol, and many other dangerous drugs that are commonly consumed like crack, PCP, crystal methamphetamine, and LSD because it can potentially cure cancer, (mostly leukemia) cold, influenza-like symptoms, glaucoma, and many more. To find out, click the provided links. Legal and dangerous drugs like alcohol are not proven to cure anything. In my birth city, Denver, in 2005, people have opened their minds and made weed legal, but you can only have a certain amount, but nonetheless, it is enough to finish the job. Seeing how I'm born in Denver, I must say, great minds think alike. Denver is also a moderately safe city, as crime doesn't happen often.
Commenting, hopefully after reading this, you have opened your mind to marijuana. Additionally, even with weed legal, I personally would not consume it on a daily basis, but I'll eat some hash-sweets whenever I have horrible pains, especially during my period, or influenza. With legal weed, street thugs could stop the killing for weed and make our streets a little safer, people in rural areas can have a personal occupation producing it, from other countries, it can make good money of tax and commerce, and merely put, our economy would be better. Therefore, as the title says, legalize the weed, Obama!
